Food allergies are quite a common medical concern in childhood and our school district has taken this issue seriously. We have completed our Manteno CUSD #5 Policy and Procedure on Food Allergies.
The school nurses have been very pro-active in coordinating care and writing individualized health care plans for our students with food allergies. Education of staff and safety of our students has lead us to be vigilant concerning the explosion of food allergy concerns.
