Mission Control is looking for a team of future Astronauts to man a mission
to one of the other planets in our Solar System.

Are you ready to apply for the Mission?

Your teams mission is to gather information about your assigned planet so you can present your findings to Mission Control. You will then present your findings as team to Mission Control along with a model of the planet you are investigating.

1. Each team is to come up with a team name.
2. Each team is to be broken up into three roles; The Commander, The Navigator, and The Scientist.
3. Each team member will answer the following questions regarding your planet.
The Commander
Where is your planet located in the Solar System?
What is the name of our Solar System?
What else is located in our Solar System besides the planets?
How many moons does your planet have?
The Navigator
How far is your planet from the earth?
How long would it take you to get from earth to your planet?
What other planets would you pass on the way to your planet?
How far is your planet from the sun?
The Scientist
What color is your planet?
How big is your planet?
What is your planet made up of? (example: rock,water, gas,etc.)
Would you have to wear a coat on your planet? Why or why not?
4. Your team is to find 3 interesting facts about your planet. These facts should be different from the questions you have already answered.
5. Your team is to create a model of your planet that you can display during your presentation to Mission Control.
6. Your team is to present your finding to Mission Control on your scheduled date.
