Illinois Constitution Webquest
Introduction
This webquest was designed to allow students to learn about the Illinois Constitution and also some historical facts concerning Illinois. There are assignments that may be printed, completed, and turned in for evaluation purposes. If completed properly this webquest will prepare students for the required test on the Illinois Constitution.

Your task with this webquest will be to learn about the history of Illinois and the Illinois Constitution. The information provided in the lesson page section will answer most of the questions on the assignments. There are internet links which will provide the answer to the rest of the questions. This should be an enjoyable way of learning these facts while at the same time preparing you for the Illinois Constitution test at the conclusion of the unit. To get started, you will need to click on the "Process" button to find the directions. Good luck on your quest!
Process
The webquest is broken down into ten lesson plans. Each lesson plan has a corresponding worksheet that will need to be printed out, completed, and turned in. You will find the study guide for each lesson by pressing the "Resources" button. When the page comes onto your screen, simply press which lesson you would like to complete. Print out the assignment sheet and begin working on it. When you have completed one lesson, you may begin another. Please do the lessons in order and remember to put your name, class period and date on each assignment.
Some of the answers will not be on the study guide. You can find these answers by following the internet links which are given or you may use the "Illinois Handbook of Government" book that you received in class.

The Illinois Constitution test will count as one regular test for the quarter.

Teachers
This webquest was designed for middle school students. They are preparing to take the state mandated test over the Illinois Constitution. By doing this project via computers, you will obviously integrate technology into your curriculum. The project was done as part of my student teaching at Manteno Middle School.
