About

Manteno High School is a 4 year public high school serving the residents of Manteno, Illinois and surrounding areas. MHS is part of the Manteno Community Unit School District 5.

Enrollment at MHS is approximately 700. The original portion of the building was constructed in 1974. An addition completed in 2002 provided new classroom space for the math department. The latest addition, completed in 2007 doubled the size of the school and provides for additional growth as the community grows.

Manteno High School offers a full schedule of required and elective courses designed to prepare them for life. MHS also sponsors numerous sports for the student athlete, clubs for specific interests, and student leadership opportunities. The school's mascot is the Panther and the colors are purple and white.
