Mr. Doug Wenzel, Principal

We at Manteno High School would like to welcome both the students and parents. We are sure you will find Manteno High School to be a solid educational and social experience. Manteno High School offers a good combination of curricular and extra-curricular classes and activities.

A student who actively participates in all walks of high school will find his/her school experience enriching and a strong base for future endeavors whether it be college or career minded. Being involved in school activities will help prepare students in building goal setting skills, leadership and teamwork. These skills are often requested by employers in our area and across the country.

Manteno High School is a growing school of almost 700 students situated in Manteno just 50 miles south of Chicago. On behalf of the faculty, we would like to welcome you to Manteno High School. Manteno High School has a history of fine academic and extra-curricular accomplishments. As a member of the Interstate Eight Conference we compete with some of the most competitive high schools in the state of Illinois. We are dedicated to make our school a successful and educationally challenging learning environment.

I am proud to live in a community like Manteno and to work for a school district that is progressive and on the cutting edge of what works in schools. This can be found in our classrooms with our curriculum which is designed using Common CORE, English, Math,Science, Social Science and Fine Art Standards. We are very proud of being recognized by the College Board in the Spring of 2017 as an Advance Placement Honor Roll School. Please feel free to call, email, or stop by anytime.
